The purpose of this design is to provide the visual clarity of rigid lenses, combined with wearing comfort that is comparable to soft lenses.<\/p>\n<p>Although both scleral and hybrid contact lenses were developed to particularly correct vision for patients with Keratoconus, other conditions may be corrected. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Astigmatism<\/li>\n<li>Dry eyes<\/li>\n<li>Giant papillary conjunctivitis<\/li>\n<li>Post-refractive surgery<\/li>\n<li>Presbyopia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Keratoconus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact lenses are highly successful when fitted to patients with Keratoconus.
